- Boito was an inexpensive line of shotguns made in Brazil in the early 1970s. Value is probably in the $150-$175 range, depending on condition. These were typically sold through K-mart, G.C.
- Boito was my first O/U shotgun. If I remember correct they are Brazilian made. I only paid around $200 for it used but it was in mint condition. Though it's a very low end shotgun it served me well through a season of pheasant hunting. I replaced it with a Red Label but soon found myself longing for the Boito again. But that's another story.

The frame rails are marked “30-17999W / PSF”. The top barrel is marked “**” the bottom barrel is marked “***”. The belly of the receiver is marked “BOITO / MADE IN / BRAZIL”. Barrel Length: 28” Choke: The upper barrel is choked Improved Modified. The lower barrel is choked Modified.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a red painted front sight bead on a full length ventilated and serrated rib. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are hand checkered hardwood. The buttstock has a checkered pistol grip. There are only a few light compression marks.
The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the forward trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition. Type of Finish: Blue Finish Originality: All Original Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is No erosion. Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows thinning on the hard edges and only light scuffs and handling marks from use scattered throughout.
The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear.

It has automatic extraction and ought to be a good utilitarian shooter. The underside of the receiver is marked “686507 MOD 151”. The top of the barrel is marked “12 GAUGE 2 ¾ IN FULL / PROOF TESTED”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN BRAZIL / BY COMPANHIA BRASILEIRA DE CARTUCHOS / S. ANDRE EST S PAULO”.
The top of the barrel is marked “S.S. TROY, MICH 48084”. Barrel Length: 28” Choke: Full Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a steel bead front sight. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth hardwood. There are compression and handling marks on the stocks. It almost looks as if it would have a magazine tube. The forend is very large and comfortable to hold. This is an example of a trade name shotgun. This was made by Boito for the Kresge Company.

The Stoeger Coach Gun is a double-barreled shotgun. It is marketed and distributed by Stoeger Industries in Accokeek, Maryland. It is manufactured by E.R. Amantino (Boito) in Veranópolis, Brazil.[1]
The Coach Gun is a side-by-side shotgun. While suitable for bird hunting, clay target shooting, or home defense, it is primarily designed for cowboy action shooting. As the name implies, it is a coach gun style shotgun, similar to those used to defend stagecoaches in the American Old West.[2]
Features[edit]
The Stoeger Coach Gun has been produced in 12 gauge, 20 gauge and .410 bore. The chambers are three inches long, to accommodate either 2¾ inch or 3 inch shells. Barrel lengths include 18, 20 and 24 inch. The gun has a raised center rib with a brass bead front sight. The Coach Gun has dual triggers, one for each barrel. The safety mechanism is located on the tang, on the upper rear part of the receiver. Opening the action automatically engages the safety.[3] To comply with cowboy action shooting regulations, the gun does not have ejectors,[4] but it does have an extractor.[1]
Models[edit]
- Coach Gun – The standard model has fixed chokes, one Improved Cylinder and one Modified, and does not have a recoil pad. Different variations have a hardwood or walnut stock and fore-end, and a blued, matte nickel, or polished nickel receiver and barrels. Most versions have an American style pistol grip stock, but the Coach Gun has also been produced with an English style straight stock.[5]
- Coach Gun Supreme – The Coach Gun Supreme has screw-in choke tubes, and is equipped with a recoil pad. It features an AA-grade walnut stock and fore-end. Different versions have blued, nickel-plated, stainless steel receivers and barrels.
- Double Defense – The recently introduced Double Defense is tactically designed for home defense. It has a black matte finish and two picatinny rails for add-on tactical accessories, such as a laser sight or flashlight. The gun has a single trigger, ported barrels, internal hammer design and a fixed Improved Cylinder choke.
