Dayz Mod Server Files

To install Mods on your DayZ Server might be a bit tricky sometimes, therefore we would like to explain it to you in a step-by-step Tutorial.

An easy to use launcher for DayZ Standalone. with unofficial mod support. You can add any maps such as @taviana to the dayzserver folder and then simply add the map folder into your batch files -mod= parameter. The @startmysql.bat file starts ONLY the mysql server so you can edit the database without starting a dayz server, do NOT run this before starting your server as mysql server is started with the dayz server. The DayZ Expansion mod contains a ready-to-use mission file github.com that houses all necessary central economy files. The mission comes in two variants; ChernarusPlus and ChernarusPlusGloom.

Subscribe

First, the desired Mod needs to be subscribed in the Workshop, so the Files are getting installed (and updated as well) automatically via Steam

Start the Launcher

As soon as the Mod got installed on your Computer, you can start the Game by selecting 'Play DayZ'

As soon as the Launcher is started, you can check the installed Mods.
Each Mod-entry can be extended and by clicking on the three Dots on the right, you can navigate to the Folder, where Steam has installed the Mod-Files

Upload Mods

The folders are named after the respective mod and need to be uploaded to the Server manually via FTP How to use your server's FTP into the main Folder of the Game

Important! The keys are also required for the server!
If there is no 'Keys' Folder available in the Mod, the Mod cannot be used on the Server.The Files within the 'Keys' Folder of the Mod, need to be uploaded into the 'keys' Folder of the Game on the Server.

Webinterface

The first part of installing the Mods on the Server is now done, but at the moment the Server doesn't know that those Folders need to be loaded while starting the Game.
To make sure the server loads this mod at startup, add the name of the folder in the field 'Additional mods'

After all the Mods are added into the mentioned input field, you can save the settings and after a restart, the Game will load the Modifications while starting up.

Important! If you want to use several mods, it is necessary to separate them with a ' ;'.

Some of the Mods might need some special changes within the Config/.xml files, so always have a look at the Installation instructions from the developers of the Mods.Keep in mind that a syntax error in the files can crash the server.
